Why can't smaller businesses buy serious software at sensible prices?
After twenty years building software — for Merrill Lynch and VISA Europe early on, then leading engineering at IoT and fintech companies, most recently as Head of Development at a UK card-payments platform — our founder Mohsin Shah kept hearing the same complaint from smaller businesses: serious software firms won't return our calls, and the ones that will, we can't afford.
The economics behind that complaint are real. A senior London engineering team costs what it costs. But Mohsin had spent seven years running hybrid onshore/offshore teams and knew the model that actually works: UK leadership and accountability, senior global delivery, and total honesty about which is which.
